Bronze & Iron Age Ireland

During term One, pupils in Mr Hart’s class studied the Bronze and Iron Age In Ireland. The pupils placed both eras in history chronologically and learned about the Celtic people who lived in Ireland at that time. The pupils explored raths or ring forts which were family dwellings. They realised that Lislynn Rath is actually located quite close to our school. The pupils also realised that the origins of many of our place names can be linked to raths which existed many years ago. The following gallery showcases one of the pupils work:
