Mrs Smith's class build ringforts as part of their World Around Us topic

During term two, Mrs Smith's class have been studying the Bronze and Iron Ages as part of their World Around Us topic. The pupils examined the settlements that would have been inhabited during this period of history and very sillfully constructed their own models. These settlements were known as raths or ringforts. The remains of one of these raths can be seen in our local landscape today in the form of Lislynn rath.Pictured are some of the pupils hard at work constructing their models:
