On Friday 20th September, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the first and second week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.
Firstly a number of pupils were awarded "Star Reader" awards having made a particular effort with their reading. This week's winners were:
- Lily Kate Cox
- Harley King
- Eva Toal
- Hannah English
- Jamie Crilly
Awards were given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts:
- P3 Eoin Breen 5800words
- P4 Claire McElvanna 117,000 words
- P5 Ellen McKenna 197,000 words
- P6 Annie McElvanna 542,000 words
- P7 Cara McGeary 86,000 words
Incredibly a number of pupils have already reached their personal reading targets securing the second part of their pass to Our Accelerated Reading Trip. Well done boys and girls!
