Accelerated Reading Awards

On Monday 22nd September, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the first week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.

Firstly, Mr. Loughran awarded pupils who have been making a special effort over the first week with a Star reader certificate. Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts. This week the winners were:

Primary 3: Cadhla Tohill - 3,263 words

Primary 4: Roise McGeary 14, 958 words

Primary 5: Danu McKinney 51,950 words

Primary 6: Emily McElvanna: 31,065 words

Primary 7: Shannon Maguire 57,649 words

Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Well done boys and girls! Keep up the hard work!
