On Friday 7th February, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the 3rd week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.
Firstly, Mr. Loughran awarded pupils who have been making a special effort over the 3rd week with a Star reader trophy. This week also saw more children reach their overall targets. This is a wonderful achievement with only three weeks of the programme gone. Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts. This week the winners were:
Primary 3: Caitlin McElvanna
Primary 4: Ethan McGarvey
Primary 5: Niamh McGuinness
Primary 6: Oisin O'Hara
Primary 7: James O'Hara
Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Well done boys and girls! Keep up the hard work!
