On Monday 28th January, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the first and second week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.
Firstly a number of pupils were awarded "Star Reader" awards having made a particular effort with their reading. This week's winners were:
- Caela Stapleton
- Katie Farrell
- Sean Lappin
- Ciaran Molloy
Awards were given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts:
- P3 Claire McElvanna 59,140 words
- P4 Eabhi Woods 317,303 words
- P5 Annie McElvanna 141,755 words
- P6 Liam McGarvey 146,407 words
- P7 Lauren Carr 153,108words
Incredibly after only two weeks a number of pupils have reached their personal reading targets. These pupils have secured the second part of their pass to Funtasia Waterpark.
Thus far the effort made has been fantastic! Well done boys and girls!
