On Friday 19th October, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the fourth week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.
Firstly a number of pupils were awarded "Star Reader" awards having made a particular effort with their reading. This week's winners were:
- Caela Stapleton
- Anthony Tighe
- Katie Farrell
- Eimear Cox
- Ciaran Molloy
Awards were given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts:
- P3 Casey Cox 8,000 words
- P4 Sean Mallon 41,000 words
- P5 Tara Gray 92,000 words
- P6 Ella Toal 97,000 words
- P7 Lauren Carr 108,000 words
Week four was also a hugely successful week with many more pupils meeting their personal reading targets. These pupils have secured the first part of their pass to Funtasia Waterpark.
