Accelerated Reading Awards

On Friday 1st October, pupils from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 celebrated the great effort made during the second full week of our Accelerated Reading programme. Ordinarily, these awards would take place as a whole school community in the assembly hall. However, this year our accelerated reading awards are a little different as we now have separate awards in the classrooms on a Friday afternoon.

Firstly, one pupil from each class received the “Star Reader” award for making a particular effort with their reading. This week, the  winners were:

  • Shea Breen (P3)
  • Gareth Corr (P4)
  • Shona Quinn P5)
  • Sarah McKenna (P6)
  • Jack O‘Reilly (P7)

 

Special prizes were also awarded to pupils who read an exceptional number of words this week:
