On Thursday 12th January, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the fourth week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.
Firstly, pupils who have been making a special effort were awarded with with a Star reader certificate. This week the star readers were
- Grace Smith
- Ella Toner
- Amy Toner
- Shea McCusker
- Sophie Morgan
Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts.
Many more pupils have reached their personal targets for this term securing the second part of their ticket to Indianna Land.
Unbelievably, two pupils have become "Word Millionaires" meaning they have read 1,000,000 words through the accelerated reading programme. Both pupils received a special prize for their hard work.
Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Well done boys and girls! Keep up the hard!
