On Friday 13th October, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the fifth week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.
Firstly, pupils who have been making a special effort were awarded with a Star reader prize. This week's star readers were:

- Maja Kiernan
- Liam McGarvey
- Caitlin Lappin
- Dylan Crilly
Brilliantly, many more pupils have now reached their personal targets receiving the first part of their golden ticket for our end of year trip.
Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts:
P3 Odhran McGeary 19,000 words
P4 Aoibhrionna Grimley 19,200words
P5 Sorcha McKinney 45,000 words
P6 Caolan Fitzpatrick 114,000words
P7 Roisaorlaith Grimley 102,700words
