On Friday 29th September, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the third week of the Accelerated Reading scheme.
Firstly, pupils who have been making a special effort were awarded with a Star reader prize. This week's star readers were:
- Christopher Corr
- Pauric Fegan
- Harry Smith
- Ryan Mallon
- Leo Corr
Incredibly after only three weeks, a number of pupils have reached their personal targets receiving the first part of their golden ticket to Funtasia Waterpark.
Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts:
- P3 Odhran McGeary 8,000 words
- P4 Annie McElvanna 114,000words
- P5 Elmer Cox 25,000 words
- P6 Caolan Fitzpatrick 126,000words
- P7 Annie Fitzpatrick 95,000 words
Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Keep up the hard work!
