On Friday 14th October, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the fifth week of the Accelerated Reading scheme. Firstly, pupils who have been making a special effort were awarded with with a Star reader prize. This week's star readers are:

This week, many more children have reached their personal targets receiving the first part of their golden ticket to Funtasia waterpark. Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts:
- P3 Sean Woods 14,587 words
- P4 Eoghan O'Hara 32,413 words
- P5 Caolan Fitzpatrick 60,432 words
- P6 Roise McGeary 132,284 words
- P7 Danu McKinney 243,876 words
Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Well done boys and girls! Keep up the hard work!
