Accelerated Reading Awards

On Friday 13th May, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the penultimate week of week of the Accelerated Reading scheme. Firstly, pupils who have been making a special effort were awarded with with a Star reader prize. This week's star readers are:

• Lauren Carr
• Jack Smith
• Ella Hughes
• Jude Smith

This week, many more children have reached their personal targets receiving the third part of their golden ticket to Lisburn swimming pool and cinema. Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts:

• P3 Cara McGeary 17,000 words
• P4 Cadhla Tohill 87,000 words
• P5 Caitlin McElvanna 128,000 words
• P6 Danu McKinney 91,000 words
• P7 Jessica Hughes 136,000 words

Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Well done boys and girls! Keep up the hard work!
