Accelerated Reading Awards
On Friday 25th September, children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gathered to celebrate the hard work of pupils during the fourth week of the Accelerated Reading scheme. Firstly, pupils who have been making a special effort were awarded with with a Star reader prize.
This week, more pupils have reached their personal targets. These readers have been working extremely hard and are now aiming to become word millionaires:
Awards were also given to pupils from each class who have reached particularly high word counts:
- P3 Jamie Crilly 4,947 words
- P4 Eimear McGeary 59,395 words
- P5 Dylan Crilly 36,276 words
- P6 Dawn Smith 66,050 words
- P7 Emily Mc Elvanna 80,979 words
Thus far, the effort made by pupils in the accelerated reading scheme has been brilliant. Well done boys and girls! Keep up the hard work!
At this point in the programme, pupils should have achieved approximately 60% of their personal targets.
