Children visit new school.
On Friday 9th September children from KS1 and KS2 visited the building site to assess the progress being made to their new school. This was the first visit since the summer break and the progress which has been made was clear for all to see. With children transferring to the new school in November everyone was eager to see their new classrooms. some of the primary seven children have written accounts of their visit to the new school:
On the 9th September 2011 the P6 and 7 classes visited the building site of our new school. Approaching the school we were filled with excitement. The builders gave us a warm welcome. Stepping into our new classroom there were gasps and shocks. The builders had achieved so much in such a short time, but the best was yet to come…
We entered the P1 classroom which was amazing with a small aquarium which was built into the wall. I think the P1’s will be pleased. Then we entered the hall which was gigantic.
Although our old school is very precious and full of memories it will always be in our hearts when we move.
