Congratulations James & Orlaith
Following the completion of a poetry workshop at the Navan centre, P6 and P7 pupils James O' Hara and Orlaith Gray were selected as winners of the Navan poetry competition.
The theme of this year's competition was "stars". James and Orlaith will now perform there poems to a special audience at the Navan centre. Their poems can be seen below: (Well done James and Orlaith!)
James & Orlaith's poetry entry
Stars are Cities at night.
Bright lights shining triumphantly.
They are kangaroos, jumping in the sky,
or ballerinas performing a dance.
They are only seen at night but are never shy,
little maps guiding the lost.
They shine eternally giving hope.
With their radiant light that is so strong we are confident,
nothing can go wrong.

The stars were twinkling oh so high,
Dazzling in the dark night sky.
Oh how I wish I could join them.
I hope I’ll be able to do that soon,
to greet and dance with the children of the moon.
