Over the past month, children in upper KS2 have been completing the Heart Start scheme. The scheme which is supported by the British Heart Foundation offers children the opportunity to learn basic first aid skills to be used in a range of scenarios:
- Conscious casualties
- Unconscious casualties
- Serious Bleeding
- Choking
- Heart attacks
- Casualties who require CPR
The children have responded extremely positively to the scheme which has taugt them a range of life saving skills. Pictured are some of the children practising CPR.
