Mr Loughran's Update
Just a brief note to everyone prior to this unusual bank holiday weekend!
Hopefully everyone is well and is managing to find some sense of wellbeing in these difficult times and I certainly don’t underestimate the very real difficulties that many of you are facing at home during this time. Home schooling and concerns about work prospects for the future are a daunting combination for many of you. Please God a sense of normality will begin to take shape over the next few weeks and months and a clearer picture of the way forward for all of us will begin to take shape.
During this time It is important that children are engaging with their core Literacy and Numeracy skills on a daily basis. Please try to ensure that there is a level of consistency with this particularly those P7 pupils who will be transferring school in September. Those pupils in P3-P7 who are participating in Accelerated Reading are at varying stages on their journey to their reading targets. Everyone should be focused on trying to achieve their individual target which is set at their own ability level. We have 46 pupils who have met their target already which is fantastic as this journey keeps those key reading skills sharp. Keep this great effort up and hopefully we will have more pupils in this group next week when prizes should be ready for collection!!
Congratulations also to those who are making a huge effort with their Sumdog Maths Learning.
