Navan Fort Poetry Competition Winners
On Tuesday 23rd November, P7 pupils Tiarnan Tohill, Niall Stevenson and Dawn Smith received special prizes for poems they had entered in the Navan Fort Poetry Competition. Following a poetry workshop at the Navan centre, the pupils had written poems based on the theme of messages.
In total 550 poems were entered from schools around Armagh with Niall and Dawn winning school awards and Tiarnan successfully winning the overall Key Stage 2 award. The pupils had the chance to recite their poems infront of a large audience before picking up their prizes. A special prize was also given to Cadhla Tohill who very bravely read out Tiarnan's poem as he was feeling unwell on the night. Well done boys and girls!
