P4 Accelerated Reading update
Good morning boys and girls, I hope you are all doing well and finding the work manageable. I just want to remind everyone about the reason we do Accelerated Reading in our school and that is to help you become better readers and hopefully foster a love of reading. So it is important that when you are choosing your books you pick books that you are enjoying. Reading should bring pleasure.
Once again as I scan through our weekly results I see how hard you are working and I know it is not easy, especially in these unusual times, so that makes me doubly proud.
This week I want to give a special mention to five children who are working steadily week on week and are getting ever so close to their target. I want to encourage you boys and girls to keep going
LUCY SMITH FINN McGOLDRICK JACK LAPPIN AARON HUGHES and ANNIE GREENE 🙌 🙌
This week we had two boys reach their targets. I was delighted to see all their hard work work pay off and they can celebrate with their families this weekend. So a very big CONGRATULATIONS to
CILLIAN GREENE and RIOGHAN GRIMLEY
Well done boys, you both fully deserve your award as I watched you both work steadily towards your targets each week 🙌 🙌
I also want to give a special mention to one boy who is very very very close to reaching his target. Conor McGoldrick you are so close at 99.7% of your target. Next week I look forward to mentioning you in our targets achieved awards. Excellent effort and keep going.
Again this week I saw children making an extra special effort with their reading Leah Fegan +37 points, Leila Hughes +27 points, Conor McGoldrick +23 points, Claire McElvanna +25 points, Ellierose Rafferty +29 points, Brannagh Smith +16 points, Matthew Schramm-McKeown +12 points, Caela Stapleton +19 points, Finn McGoldrick +18 points, James Carroll +15points and Aaron Hughes +15 points.
