Primary 3 Accelerated Reading Update
Congratulations everyone for receiving your Accelerated Reading awards today. You have all been working very hard from home over the last three months so this is well-deserved!!
Another super effort this week in Accelerated Reading Primary 3 with twenty children managing to take quizzes and a total of 104 books read. A great result.
As usual don’t worry if you are reading a longer book and haven’t got the chance to take any quizzes. Just keep enjoying your reading, even if the book isn't on the A.R. system.
Over the past two weeks I have given you reading lists so a big thank you to all the children who have provided feedback on some of the books. It was very helpful, not only to me, but to other children looking for a "good read". Super work everyone.
Some children have been doing a lot of reading this week with the following words read…
Conall Carr – 83,415
Eloise Corr– 46, 845
Ryleigh O'Hagan – 32,223
Leo McKenna - 29,140
Eoin Breen – 29, 028
Darragh McGeary - 20,710
Mia Smith - 19, 881
Thomas McCusker - 19,525
This was a great effort children - especially at this stage of the term.
A big Congratulations to Leo Mckenna and Regan Smith who have now reached their targets.
Well done children.
Star readers this week go to three children who have made a consistently super effort over the last few weeks...
Mia Smith, Thomas McCusker and Conall Carr.
Well done children for continuing to read on, even when you had reached your targets. You should be very proud of yourselves.
Also a special mention to Emma Woods - who has now managed to double her target!! and Conall Carr - who has now quadrupled his target!! This was an excellent effort from you both children. You should be very proud of this achievement.
We are now nearing the end of term everyone, so just remember to ENJOY your reading and keep going at your own pace.
As always I am very proud of the effort you are all making working from home as I know it’s not easy. Don’t forget to thank your parents and helpers for all their efforts too.
Have a lovely weekend everyone and keep safe. God bless.
