Over the past two months, Children in Mr Hart's class have been working with the AMMA centre to develop an understanding of film and digital media. Using the topic of the Great famine, the children planned to create short films focussing on:
- The crop
- Eviction
- Workhouses
- Emigration
Thursday 15th March was marked as a filming day and all were eager to show off their skills. Armed with IPAD 2s and suitably dressed in traditional clothing the children set off to shoot their scenes. The day was extremely exciting with children working collaboratively to shoot their work.
The footage gathered looks fantastic and we are all eagerly awaiting the next stage of the project when children have the opportunity to edit using IPADs.
