STEM Robotics day
On Tuesday 13th March, children in Mr. Hart's class attended a STEM workshop on "robotics". STEM which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths is a Sentinus programme which aims to provide young people with the opportunity to engage in exciting and rewarding experiences based around the STEM subjects.
The event was hosted in St. Patrick's HS Keady and offered children the opportunity to experience computer programming in the robotics industry. Working with children from St. John's PS Middletown pupils faced the task of programming a robot to follow a specific course.
Children worked collaboratively to achieve the target with the support of mentors from St. Patrick's HS. They then tested their programming on the track as they attempted to complete the course.
The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all! Why not read about what the children thought of the day.
