Stephen Mc Donnell talks healthy eating
On the 8th April 2011, Armagh's Stephen McDonnell visited our school, along with Paul Kelly and the manager of Simply Fruit. When everyone was seated, the men started to talk about healthy eating. Steven then showed us a video about how important it is to eat fruit.
After watching the video, Stephen asked us questions about it. Also, he asked what team do we support. Grace in P.1 doesn't support a team, she supports Steven McDonnell!!! I absolutely loved the little bags of fruit we all got. Yummy!

On Friday 8th of April, Stevie McDonnell came to talk about one of the things that have kept him going since 1999, a healthy diet. Before the action got started, Paul Kelly from My Armagh talked about Simply Fruit and his time with Armagh hurling and football.
Then the spotlight was on Stevie. He showed us a video about Armagh training and eating fruit. The second half of the film showed us were the fruit is packaged and how it is sent to shops and to schools. Afterwards, there were questions from Stephen about the fruit. He answered questions from pupils. Conor Gray had the question of the day when he asked, “How does it feel to be the biggest legend in Armagh?”
After the talk, kids of all ages were looking autographs; Ryan Gray even got his jersey signed! Madden are lucky to have such a big superstar coming to the school and I hope another one comes soon.
