Congratulations to all our pupils who participated in the Southern Regional Maths contest last week. In total, 6 schools, 21 classes and 336 pupils entered the competition with 209,014 questions answered.
This morning we celebrated the hard work of our brilliant mathematicians during a special school assembly.
The effort made by our children was phenomenal with all five of our classes finishing in the top 10. A special mention to Miss Hughes’ class who finished in 3rd position overall! The P7 children successfully secured extra play time for their class through this fantastic effort.
Awards were given to pupils in each class who reached the target number of differentiated questions answered (P5-P7 = 1000 questions / P4-P5 600 questions). In addition, those who finished in the top three in their class received special awards.
Finally, awards were presented to those pupils who placed within the Top 10 on the student leaderboard. Incredibly we had pupils placed, first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth and tenth.
