Welsh Visitors
St. Joseph’s Primary School was the venue recently for an educational visit from a group of Welsh teachers on an E-learning visit to Northern Ireland. The visit was facilitated by the British Council in Wales and the AMMA Centre in Armagh. The focus within St Joseph’s was the use of digital media to enhance curriculum development.
As part of their morning the visitors had the opportunity to visit classrooms to view how information and communication technology is embedded within all the classrooms in St. Joseph’s. There was also an opportunity to interact with the pupils who explained how the new forms of technology were assisting them in their learning.
Daniel O’Reilly of the AMMA Centre thanked St. Joseph’s for their warm welcome and paid tribute to the school as being one of the leading primary schools in Northern Ireland for its development and integration of digital technology throughout the primary curriculum. He also commented that our Welsh colleagues had been highly impressed with the competence of the children in using ICT. Well done boys and girls!
