ECO Council

 
Our Eco council is made up of representatives from P3-P7 who discuss environmental issues and promote a more sustainable approach to our school and wider environment.   Throughout the year our Eco-Committee meets regularly to plan and carry out environmental projects. They also inspire their fellow students and the wider school community.    Our Eco committee for 2024-25 include:  
 

Autumn Photography Competition

Dear Parents,

Our School Eco Committee are delighted to launch their inaugural Autumn Photography Competition.

At their first meeting representatives of the committee discussed the season of Autumn and agreed that it would be lovely to host a photography competition to capture the beauty of this season.

The photography competition will be open to pupils from P1 - P7 with a winner selected from each class by the eco council. Winners in each class will receive a special prize presented at assembly after the Halloween break.

Rules:

- Entries should be submitted via private message on class Dojo
- Only one photograph per child can be submitted
- The photograph must be the child’s own work
- The photograph has to capture the beauty of nature / wildlife in the local area
- No images of faces to be submitted
- An old photograph cannot be submitted
- All photographs must be submitted by Friday 1st November

Autumn Photography Competition Winners

St Joseph’s Eco Council are delighted to showcase the brilliant entries submitted by pupils to our Autumn Photography competition. In total we had 58 entries from pupils in P1-P7.

The Eco council have selected two entries from each class to receive awards at assembly, however, we need the help of our school community including pupils, parents and social media followers to select the overall winner.
